Diddling and Doodling

I like to create. My hands can't sit still. I guess it's my own form of restless hand syndrome. LOL  I'm either knitting, crocheting, drawing, computing, scratching, petting, texting, blogging...they're always moving.

I have always created. I remember YEARS ago scribbling on paper and then filling in the spaces with color and patterns. Who knew I was "zentangling" at the time. I always thought it was fun. As I got older, my doodles evolved...and I was always creating. Painting. Stain glass. Cross stitch. Art. But I always doodled.

Today, I >>LOVE<< pen and ink doodles. Preferably black and white...maybe with a splash of color. I love the contrast. You can see all the details when it's just black and white. But when you add a splash of color like in this Valentine card I recently drew...POP!!!

This is my first post. I hope you enjoy seeing some of my doodles. I always put some sort of hidden meaning in them for the person I'm giving it to. In this Valentine, peacocks have a special meaning for both of us. I created something that resembled peacock feathers and merged it with hearts. AWWWWWW!!! (you can stop gagging now!) Add a splash of red in the ribbon that holds them together and some shading and VOILA!!!

I hope you find inspiration to pick up a pen and doodle. It's so much fun and relaxing. Take a deep breath and jump. You can do it!
